The Selma Housing Authority held a Mardi Gras party in its George Washington Carver (GWC) homes on Wednesday.
SHA Executive Director Kennard Randolph and several SHA workers wore Mardi Gras hats, shirts and placed multi-colored beads around the necks of GWC residents, a solid mix of kids and adults.
GWC residents were treated to hot dogs, hamburgers, gumbo, potato chips and popcorn, while listening to classic Mardi Gras tunes, “Walking to New Orleans” and “When the Saints Go Marching In.”
